My journey into programming started thanks to my brother, who also took a tech-related course. At the time, I was unsure of what I wanted to pursue, but a family friend encouraged me to give tech a try. With no clear idea of where to begin, I took a leap and dived in. He sent me a massive list of courses and tutorials and to be honest it felt a bit overwhelming at first, but I took my time exploring , and I eventually found my groove.
One of my most memorable projects is an app I created called ‘Movie Watch.’ I’ve always wanted a place to store and rate all the movies and shows I’ve seen. Now, whenever a friend asks for recommendations, I can ask about their favorite genres and instantly pull up my list to suggest something they'll love. It’s a small tool, but it’s brought me so much joy to build something so practical and personal.
For me, programming isn’t just about building what everyone else is building. It’s about creating things that matter to me. My 'Green Bite' app, for instance, was born out of my own need to change my diet and lead a healthier lifestyle. I love the process of turning an idea into something real and useful.
Outside of coding, I find creativity in experimenting with new recipes and the satisfaction of organizing spaces. Whether it's cooking a new dish or arranging things, I love bringing order and creativity into everyday life.
Right now, I’m diving into React and eager to build projects with this new framework. I'm skilled in JavaScript, Express, EJS, Bootstrap, Postgres, integrating third-party APIs, and designing UIs with Figma.
Looking back, I’ve learned that programming isn’t just about writing instructions for a computer—it’s about understanding the "why" behind each line of code. At times, trying something new can be intimidating, but I’ve come to realize that once I dive in, it’s not as scary as it seems: even when a challenge feels daunting, taking the first step is often all it takes to unlock a world of possibilities.
Looking ahead, I’m seeking an internship or entry-level role as a software developer. While my main focus is backend development, I’m open to full-stack opportunities that allow me to grow and contribute to impactful projects.
